The Boston Celtics can tie the series with the New York Knicks in Game 4 at Madison Square Garden on Monday.

After dropping the first two games at home in dramatic fashion, the Celtics knew they had to respond with victory in Game 3 on Saturday to keep the season alive.
That’s exactly what they did, fleeing the 115-93 winner that day, hitting 20 of the 40 threes (50%), shooting 40/83 from the field (48%), boasting a 31-man lead in one stage.
Boston, who had a 25-point advantage over the half, kept his foot in the gas after blowing a 20-point lead in games 1 and 2, with Payton Pritchard (23), Jason Tatum (22), Jalen Brown (19), Derrick White (17) and Al Horford (15).
Momentum swayed in favor of the defending champion ahead of Game 4 tonight.
After starting the series in an inactive way, Tatum produced an improved show with 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, but didn’t look comfortable attacking the basket.
The Celtics set franchise records this season when they won 33 games in 33 games. This team will thrive in hostile environments and there is no doubt that MSG will become another cauldron of Game 4’s ferociousness.
Rather than being defeated by New York, Boston beat themselves in the opening two games of the series, and with a bit more confidence, it’s no surprise to see the Celtics take three more consecutive victories and close the series with six.
