Zimbabwe will face off new zealand Second in the 2-match Test series. This article details New Zealand plays 11 vs Zimbabwe in the second game in the Test series.

New Zealand Plays 11 vs Zimbabwe – 2nd Test, New Zealand Tour of Zimbabwe 2025:

Openers: Devon Conway, Will Young

New Zealand was able to perform near perfect in their first test against Zimbabwe under the guidance of Mitchell Santner.

The Black Cap was suitable for most of the game in all three divisions of the game, so the team administrators hope to fix it into the batter, except for the batting breakdown later in the first innings.

There are two other things that former WTC champions are worried about. One is the fitness of regular Captain Tom Latham who missed his first test due to an injury.

New Zealand wanted Latham to regain full fitness before the start of the second and final match of the series.

The second issue New Zealand needs to tackle is who will replace Nathan Smith, who was removed from the series after Fast Bowling All-Rounder was injured in the first match of the ongoing series.

Other than that, New Zealand is not expected to make any changes to Play XI for upcoming games, opening up batting with a pair of Devon Conway and Will Young.

The duo will lead their teams to a good start with the series opener and try to replicate the same in their second match.

Conway won half a century in New Zealand’s first innings and wants to carry that form around and finish the series high

Meanwhile, Young scored 41 runs in the first innings, providing good support to his opening partners, but was slow to extend the innings on the next outing.

Intermediate batters and all-arounds: Tom Latham (C), Raychin Rabindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Blandell (WK), Michael Braiswell, Mitchell Santner

The opening pair is followed by a middle order with the possibility of Tom Latham coming back. Tom Latham will add a little more experience to his batting lineup, including Latin Rabindra, Daryl Mitchell, Tom Bundel and more.

Visitors will once again be free to use many batting options at their own pace, with Michael Blaiswell and Mitchell Santner batting at No. 7 and 8.

That being said, the responsibility rests on the shoulders of Tom Latham, Raychin Rabindra and Daryl Mitchell, providing medium-term stability.

In particular, Mitchell wants to continue the form he showed in the previous game, half a century in the first innings.

New Zealand’s batting order looks like a force to consider, along with Santner and Braiswell, more than his ability in the bat.

Bowlers: Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, William O’Rourke

Talking about the Kiwi Bowling lineup for the first test, it’s a change with Jacob Duffy, which is made up of Nathan Smith, Matt Henry and William O’Rourke, and is expected to replace Nathan Smith.

The responsibility comes back to Matt Henry, picking up a wicket with a new ball and becoming a senior bowler on the side.

Henry, who was the New Zealand bowler’s pick in the first match, is supported by William O’Rourke.

William O’Rourke often bowls in the first game, and will also do the same in the next game.

New Zealand’s spin bowling division will be handled by Mitchell Santner and Michael Braiswell. Both stop the flow from one end and put pressure on Zimbabwean batsmen.
