Newcastle United paved the way to life this summer and began showing signs of activity in the transfer market.
The pleasant factor was real after Eddie Howe led Magpies to a top-5 Premier League finish and earned United position in the Champions League and won the Carabao Cup in March.
However, the gear is certainly starting to move. A £405 million offer was rejected for Nottingham Forest right winger Anthony Elanga, but efforts from Brighton & Hove Albion’s versatile forward Joao Pedro are ongoing.
Newcastle lineup replacement for Joao Pedro
The 23-year-old Pedro is a great addition with 30 goals and 10 assists in 70 games for the Seagulls.
His powerful approach to the offensive game will see him acting both as Alexander Isaac’s foil and, in fact, as a complementary force sitting behind the left.
But Chelsea is also enthusiastic, with alternative choices being drafted.
According to football insiders, Newcastle is hoping to lend it to Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford if it is unable to permanently ship its England winger this summer and is working to do so.
Barcelona, worth £40 million, is also interested in Rashford, which costs £300,000 a week, which will need to take a salary cut if they leave Old Trafford.
However, Howe is interested in the deal, fascinated by the versatility of the 27-year-old, and has the ability both as the left and the center forward.
Why Newcastle should sign Marcus Rashford
Rashford has been experiencing squeezes in recent years, but despite his trial and hardships, he remains a very talented and explosive player.
If Howe could capture his natural qualities and direct them in a way appropriate for the Newcastle project, he could secure excellent additions and add depth and dynamism to his offensive rank.
And given Rashford’s versatility, he could be the perfect alternative to Pedro, bringing the bias of scoring that has earned such acclaim in the past.
Just looking at his top flight records over the years will need to see exactly how good Toon is if he returns to his A-game.

While it is true that the three Lions stars have lost their way, Howe has one of the sharpest tactical minds in the country and has demonstrated over the years his ability to level up a wide range of players.
Don’t forget that over two seasons of his career, Rashford scored 17 goal hauls in the Premier League. He was hailed as a “goal machine” by journalist Mazola Morefe just two years ago.
That player still exists, with a well-balanced, somewhat selfless version that was revealed at least in part during a short-term stint with Villa, hitting only 17 matches to 10 goals in all competitions.
According to FBREF, Rashford was actually ranked in the top 14% of Premier League position peers with goals scored per 90 (0.38), highlighting the talent that will certainly be strengthened in such a vogue tyneside system.
Brazilian Pedro is a good player, but he has yet to prove he can reach the height he knows Rashford has in his locker.
Is he approaching the saloon of his last chance? Perhaps not, he knows that Howe demands him a lot, and if that works, it could just drive this incredible project towards the next level of success.
