Newcastle United enjoyed another great campaign under Eddie Howe, and according to reports, they were able to use leverage to be on the Champions League side to pursue exciting attackers.

Newcastle United appears to streamline the area ahead

Despite the nervous final afternoon of the campaign against Everton, Newcastle United are returning to the top table in Europe and retaining significant advantages over many of their transfer market competitors.

Antonio Cordero started early and completed his move from Malaga to the northeast, with sports director Paul Mitchell confirming that the magpies had seen competitive things to land their humans.

“Antonio is an exciting talent. I am pleased to bring him to Newcastle United amid interests across Spain and Europe. He has many possibilities and the next stage of his development is for the club to challenge him and choose a loan move based on his experience.”

Wanting to continue that trend, Magpie set his sights on Fulham star Rodrigo Muniz and met his camp last month to explore various paths towards a potential deal that would take the Brazilian striker northeast.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe may want to sign a new centre-back this summer.

It appears that Alexander Isaac will likely stick to Newcastle. Meanwhile, Callum Wilson’s future is at Rimbo, and it remains to be seen whether he will update his terms or leave on a free transfer.

Nevertheless, the front four position appears to have been prioritized in the early stages of the window, with Newcastle coming into contact about a potential deal for the Premier League’s prosperous star.

According to SkySports, Newcastle contacted Nottingham Forest over Anthony Elanga for an initial investigation after previous attempts to land in Swedish International last summer.

Magpie boss Howe is said to be a long-term adorable to the former Manchester United star, who has scored six goals and 12 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions this season. He is one of four “top winger targets.”

Labeled as “special” by Nuno Espirito Santo, Elanga still remains in the Nottingham forest contract for three years, and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle can move forward in pursuit of the 23-year-old’s importance on the city’s ground.

Either way, if the Jordies have a design about progress in the Champions League, they need a strong depth.

With speculation beginning to intensify, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will be able to push for deals over the contract to sign Elanga.
