Newcastle United are trying to improve their attacking force by signing Brian Mbeumo from Brentford during the summer transfer period.
Newcastle has identified Cameroon International as its best target, but they have kept their options open and if they miss a Brentford star, Mohammed Kudus lined up as an alternative.
Mbeumo is also linked to Arsenal and Manchester United.
He told the football insider”: “As it is, Brian Mbemo is the best target in the forward position on its right.
“Kudus is on their list and there are worshipers within the Newcastle hierarchy, who feel they can come in and strengthen their offensive options.
“He obviously has a release clause of around £75 million, but I don’t think many Premier League clubs will be willing to pay that.”
Brian Mbemo improves Newcastle
Mbeumo has been outstanding for Brentford this past season, with 20 goals for his name in every competition. The players got nine assists along the way. There is no doubt that he will make a great improvement in Newcastle. He was able to complete the front three with Alexander Isaac and Anthony Gordon.
The opportunity to join Newcastle can be exciting for players as well. They have an exciting project and have secured qualifying for the Champions League next season.
It will be interesting to see if Newcastle can secure an agreement with the bees.
Mohamed Kudus from Newcastle Radar
If not, Kudus could also be a useful addition. Ghana International is very impressive for West Ham, and he has the ability to play for a bigger club. The 24-year-old has a £75 million release clause in his contract, but he could be used in a reasonable amount.
Newcastle needs more quality in the final third if they want to do well in the Champions League next season, with Mbeumo and Kudus being ideal. It would be interesting to see who they become.
