Newcastle United is considered “serious” to complete the signing of the young Serie A defender in the summer transfer window amid rumors of an already-consuming approach.
Newcastle’s windows were controlled by Isaac’s suspicions
The future of Alexander Isaac is currently a big topic at St James Park, and the Magpie is doing everything it can to ensure he stays with the club. It seems likely that this is not the case now, but it is important that other attackers be seen even if he remains in place.
Brentford Ace Joane Wissa has emerged as a major option, agreeing to personal terms with Newcastle, and it is believed that Eddie Howe’s man is also preparing the move for Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez.
Whissa and Alvarez aren’t the only attackers, but Randal Colomani is also a reporting option for the Magpie ahead of the new season.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker became famous within inches of scoring the French victory goal in the 2022 World Cup final against Argentina, but was only extended by Emiliano Martinez.
While much of St. James’ focus is naturally on offense, defensive reinforcement is also essential, with new claims diminishing regarding exciting targets in that area of the pitch.
Newcastle “serious” about signing a defender
According to Tuttosport (via Sports Witness), Newcastle is “seriously” in signing Juventus defender Nicolo Savona this summer, with the Turin giants supporting more than £17 million for his signature.
It has been reported that Newcastle had already made an approach last week, and now an old lady even has an Atalanta Marco Paresta as an alternative.
Newcastle undoubtedly reached the stage where 34-year-old Kieran Trippier upgrades, bringing the younger options to provide strong competition for Tino Libramento. At Savona, Magpies have an ideal choice, with the 22-year-old showing a bright future in the game, and Scout Jacek Kulig is described as an “interesting” talent due to his ability to play at the heart of his defense.
Certainly, fans can even draw similarities with Dunburn on other aspects, as they dominate in the air at 6-foot-4.
Savona has already made his name for Juventus for 40 times, but this is not one of the biggest clubs in Europe. He also concludes with Italy at both the under-21 and under-20 levels.
