Newcastle wants to avoid repeating Alexander Isaac Saga in the coming years, so they plan to hold a contract meeting with one of their star players.
It was decided that the UK transfer record deal would be agreed to with Liverpool, recognizing that Isaac had made three years left on Newcastle’s contract when he revealed he wanted to leave during the summer transfer period, and that his value would decline over time.
Another player to close in 2028 is Bruno Gimaras, and Newcastle makes it clear that he doesn’t want to follow in Isaac’s footsteps.
Newcastle intends to offer Bruno Guimarès a new contract
According to a soccer insider, Newcastle plans to hold contract talks with Guimarais over the next few months.
Recently, it was reported that Man City is extremely keen to sign Guimaras as Rodri’s possible midfield partner. And they’ll know well that if they don’t sign a new contract before entering into the final two years of an existing contract at St. James Park, he’ll be depreciated.
Luckily for Newcastle, it has been reported that Guimaré is not planning on leaving the club anytime soon despite interest from Man City. Taking this into consideration, it is relatively easy for a new contract to be agreed with Brazil International. He has been a fan favorite since he arrived from Lyon.
With Tino Libramento and Sandro Tonari among the expiration dates in 2028, Guimaras is not the only player Newcastle is planning to discuss a contract.
