Newcastle United are interested in securing Zabi Simons’ services during the summer transfer period.
According to a report by Fichajes, they are preparing an offer of nearly 70 million euros to sign Dutch International. However, RB Leipzig doesn’t want him to leave easily. They can ask players for a complete package of around £100 million.
It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will be able to get trades across the line. They will face competition with clubs like Chelsea.
Xavi Simons makes a great addition
They need more attack depth on the side, and Simons is a quality long-term investment. He scored 11 goals last season and also scored eight assists.
Simons can add a new dimension to the Newcastle Attack Unit. He can operate not only in a large area but also in the central area. He aims to create opportunities for teammates and help him find the behind-the-scenes of the net as well. The players have been linked to multiple English clubs this summer. It’s not yet known where he will end. He is highly regarded throughout Europe and if Newcastle can make a deal it would be a big coup for Newcastle.
Newcastle needs a deep attack
Newcastle has secured qualifying for the Champions League next season and will need to improve their teams to do well in the European tournament. They are overly dependent on Alexander Isaac for their attacks. More quality and depth are required in the last third.
It remains to be seen whether the 22-year-old can be persuaded to join the club. He is an elite outlook with a bright future and could become a key player for Newcastle next season.
There is no doubt that he has the technical attributes that do well in British football. And it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will be able to get deals across the line.
