According to various sources, Newcastle submitted the first official offer for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco.
The offer is thought to total around 75 million euros, but it does not meet Leipzig’s demands. The Bundesliga wants a sell-on clause built into any contract for Slovenia International’s services.
Newcastle’s interest in Sesco comes from the prospect of losing Alexander Isaac, who has already refused a Premier League record-breaking bid from Liverpool. Isak seems determined to leave as a destination of choice, and widely believes that if you sign the right alternative, the magpie will be able to open the door on its side.
However, Manchester United recently entered the Sesco race, which clearly complicates the issue even more. The Red Devils have not yet filed an official offer for the 22-year-old, and Sesco himself has not decided he would prefer to travel to St. James Park or Old Trafford.
