Newcastle United is reportedly one of the clubs eager to dive into the potential summer transfer window for Manchester City star Jack Grelish.
England International has recently defeated the pecking order on Pep Guardiola’s side, and he appears to be facing an uncertain future now.
According to Fichajes, former Grelish club Aston Villa looks like a “dream” to bring him back to the club, but Newcastle is also exploring the deal.
Grelish looked very exciting talent during his first spell at Villa Park, but he didn’t seem compelling in his city shirt.
To be fair, the 29-year-old points out the trophy hauling since moving to Etihad Stadium.
Jack Grellish Transfer may be something you should see this summer
Still, the city fans will definitely be a little disappointed that he doesn’t see the same grain we all saw when he was in the villa.
On his day, when Grealish plays with freedom to express himself, he is an absolute joy and a unique talent to see.
However, Guardiola’s strict and strict tactical system does not tend to allow for creativity and freedom of expression on the pitch.
Grealish is mostly at work and has helped the city succeed, but at some point you’ll definitely see him play a more freer role.
Newcastle might be a good move to offer him that, but perhaps he’ll want to go back to the villa to try and revive the career he’s had there in the past.
While Newcastle and Villas will certainly be considered an attractive option after major advances in recent years, Fichajes’ report suggests that Grail’s wages could be a problem for those teams.
