Last season, Real Madrid certainly had a new era in the summer to show off their troubles, giving up the Laliga crown to Barcelona’s arch rivals, ending the 2024/25 campaign and finishing a single silverware.
After saying an emotional farewell to Carlo Ancelotti and now under the leadership of Xabi Alonso, the Los Blancos have jumped out of the trap since filing an ongoing lawsuit last month.
The Spanish icon, who won each of his first three LA La Liga appearances, has also been praised for his successful summer business.
In addition to completing his blockbuster deal to sign England International Trent Alexander Arnold, the former Liverpool defender was not the only Premier League ace to complete the Spanish Switch.
It is also strongly suggested that Ross Blanco is keeping an eye on another batch of Premier League superstars, with Dean Huijsen’s £50 million release clause activated in his deal with Bournemouth.
Ibrahima Conate – Liverpool
Watching Alexander Arnold completes the controversial free switch to the Spanish capital in June, it’s no secret that Real Madrid has had a deep discussion about the moves of another Liverpool defender.
He formed a dominant partnership alongside Virgil van Dik, the heart of Liverpool’s defense last season, with Arne Slot’s side hitting the path to a record-breaking 20th domestic crown, and is currently in his fifth campaign with the Defending Premier League champion.
However, despite starting with each of the Reds’ three opening appearances so far this season, it is strongly speculated that the French International is heading towards agreeing to terms surrounding his own free transfer to Madrid.
Now entering the final 12 months of his current contract at Anfield, he reportedly rejected multiple offers for extensions, and it is widely suggested that Conate wants to chase Alexander Arnold into the Spanish capital.
Several reports earlier this week suggest that Anfield’s hierarchy is reluctantly accepting that another one of their defensive superstars will leave Merseyside on a free transfer.
Ibrahima Konate joked that Killian Mbappe is calling the potential move towards Real Madrid “every two hours.”
During an international mission, Konate was asked in an interview whether his French teammate Mbappe was putting pressure on him to move to Madrid.

Mark Guech – Crystal Palace
Mark Guech’s proposed move towards Anfield may have ultimately collapsed in a dramatic way on deadline day, but England International certainly attracted attention this summer.
With the deadline of September 1 passed, it shockedly stayed at Crystal Palace, the former Chelsea young man had already completed Liverpool’s medical care, and the palace was ready to upload an emotional farewell message to social media platforms.
As he has made abundantly clear over the past 12 months that he will not be able to put pens on paper for his new contract in South London, the January transfer period is the final opportunity for Oliver Glasner’s men to receive all sorts of financial benefits for the charm skipper.
But it has been reported earlier in the week that Liverpool is reluctant to make all sorts of fresh approaches when the windows reopen.
Los Blancos may continue to hold high-level consultations over Konate’s move, but Alonso is reportedly a 25-year-old long-term worshiper.
Liverpool will face competition with Real Madrid to sign Mark Guech on a free transfer next summer.

Mickey Van De Ben – Tottenham
This season, he played 90 minutes of full minutes in each of Tottenham’s first three Premier League appearances, and the 2025/26 campaign appears to be a very important campaign for Micky Van de Ven.
While Dutch International may have endured a string of injuries since arriving at the Spurs in the summer of 2023 following a £43 million contract with German costume Wolfsberg, Van des Ben was a real hit in the White Half in North London.
The 24-year-old could have made 13 Premier League appearances last season and may have spoken out about his frustration, but he remains one of Europe’s hottest young defensive stars.
