Nick Nurse provided an update on Joel Embiid and explained how the Philadelphia 76ers were preparing.
The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to redeem the performance decline in the 2024-25 NBA season. The injury held back the team and they didn’t reach the playoffs.
Unfortunately, things don’t go that well this offseason. Both Joel Embiid and Paul George are struggling with injuries.
One NBA medical expert claims Embiid has a tough road ahead of him to recover. Given the history of his injuries, there are serious concerns about his health.
Worse, the 76ers have 16 consecutive games next season. This is the most common of other teams. However, Nick Nurse tried to quell some of his concerns about his team.
Nick Nurse spoke to Talksport in a recent interview. He gave a very positive update when he spoke about how Joel Embiid is ahead of the new season.
The nurse added that she is constantly receiving positive updates about Embiid. However, as far as preseason goes, the franchise is very careful about Embiid and his return to court.
“All the news is positive, I know he is working very hard.
“Whether he’s ready for training camp or not, I think there may be far more decisions than we would do that before we get there. But our main thing is that he is healthy to play and play in his closest abilities.”
Due to Embiid’s health concerns, it is best to only bring him back when the Philadelphia 76ers proceed carefully and find out he is fully prepared.
The Philadelphia 76ers have decided to keep their roster solid for the season. Despite the injury issues, 76 people want to see the Embiid and George Healthy pairing.
But they have to prepare for what happens if pairings fail to stay healthy in yet another season.
If Embiid and George don’t make an impression, the 76ers should consider moving forward. They put together a strong young core with Tyreese Maxey, Jared McCain and VJ Edge.com.
When the 76ers organize the future of Quenting Rimes, he can become part of that young core. However, this upcoming season is essential to their future.
