Nuggets may have chosen to part ways with Nikola Jokic’s Michael Maline and Calvin Booth.
The NBA continues to surprise fans. This morning, the Denver Nuggets fired head coach Michael Malone and GM Calvin Booth.
Fans were shocked and confused when Malone and Booth were let go. And they were far from the only one.
Kendrick Perkins had sought Michael Malone to take more responsibility just 24 hours ago. But even Perkins couldn’t believe Malone was rejected by the Nuggets.
Nuggets owner Josh Kroenke told players to enjoy the rest of the game. This is something Nikola Djokic hasn’t done this season.

“League sources said they had a major complaint in the locker room, particularly about how the Nuggets play defensively.”
“The Nuggets were only 20th in defensive ratings. Jokic is unhappy with the team’s defensive commitment and performance this season.”

Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets took a major blow to their championship dreams with this decision.
Certainly, with Malone at the helm, things didn’t look good for them. However, he was still a head coach with championship experience and had the best player in the world at his disposal at Jokic.
However, with a new head coach just a few days before the playoffs, it’s hard to see the jokick bring out a miracle on this side.
Nuggets are guaranteed to have a post-season spot, but it’s hard to consider anything more than a guaranteed exit.
