Nicola Zhokic warned his teammates and spoke in a decisive way after the Denver Nuggets defeated the LA Clippers.
Russell Westbrook dominated the conversation after winning the LA Clippers following the Denver Nuggets 112-110 to start the playoff series.
Russell Westbrook played in total for 34 minutes, and his time at court came at the expense of Michael Porter Jr., who played 26.
Porter JR scored only three points with four rebounds and no assists, and the work used by reporters after the match was “freed.”
Interim head coach David Adelman was asked about Michael Porter Jr. and said Nuggets were playing better without him. That means there are fewer opportunities to bring him back into the game.
He warned separately that if he places him in court, Porter Ju must be “engaged defensively” if he argues that this is the same message he told him a week ago.
At his press conference, star player Nikola Zokic was asked whether Michael Porter JR felt engaged and had a strong response.
Jokic blasted it with reference to the NBA playoffs.
Pointing to Porter JR’s performance, he added:
Nikola Djokic had more sparkling words about his teammate Aaron Gordon, who contributed 25 points and eight rebounds.
He likes his defensive work, adding, “The second phase, he’s defending the best players on the team, he’s switching… the sacrifice he’s putting in, he’s not making a big scene of it, he’s just doing his job.”
Denver is 4-0 under interim head coach David Adelman who stepped in after Michael Malone was fired towards the end of the season.
