The domination of Top Lac Laz Gatrioguru in the 2025 World Sub season began to plague Nicolo Brega.
Brega led the opening part of the 2025 World Superbike season title until round 7 at Donington Park after winning eight races in the opening round. However, since Misano, Razgatlioglu has been undefeated, and with Magny Cours he expanded his winning streak to 12 straight wins.
The Turkish rider claimed that his dominant victory in France came from the start as a result of pushing 100% from the finish, but for Brega, this is a bit of comfort if he can’t find any improvement.
“To be honest, every weekend, it’s something like this. I try to get the maximum available, and this was the biggest this weekend,” Nicolo Brega spoke to worldsbk.com after race two on the Manny Course.
“What can I say? We’re constantly trying to improve, but it’s difficult at the moment.”
Although Bulega feels that it is making the most of the possibilities of the Panigale V4 R, he added that Razgatlioglu and BMW are making progress beyond themselves and Ducati.
“It’s true, we’ve started this championship so it’s not easy to try and win this championship or at least fight to win this championship,” he said.
“But at this point, the fight is impossible as BMW and Toprak (Razgatlioglu) have found something, and it’s much faster in the final race than the start of the season.
“For us, it’s difficult to be with them because we use 100% of the package.”
He added: “I’m certainly going to try until the last race, but at this point, to think about how we can improve beforehand to win the race.
“At this point, we’ve tried a lot to improve, but that’s not possible. It’s certainly not to give up, but something is needed.”
