Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is one of the star players at Eurobasket 2025 this summer.

He is on the Serbian team along with fellow NBA players Nikola Jovic, Tristan Vukkevic and recently injured Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Serbia is one of the leading contenders to win the tournament and is undefeated in four group stage games so far.

Nikola Jovic shares what it’s like to play with Jokic, the most valuable player in the NBA, on the national team, three times.

Nikola Djokic is one of the few NBA superstars whose outstanding ability is not his score.

Of course, he can score 30 points on a particular night, but his playmaking makes him stand out.

As Nicola Jovic recently explained to BasketNews, this is particularly beneficial to his teammates.

“I learned a lot from him, both offensively and defensively,” Jovic said. “It’s easy to play with him. He’s the best player in the world. He knows what he’s doing.”

“If you’re in the right place at the right time, he’ll find you. So it’s easy to play with him. He’s so smart, and it’s really easy to play with him.”

Serbian roster is impressive, but this is the main reason why Djokic’s incredible basketball IQ is his favorite to win the Eurobasket 2025.

Nikola Jovic was selected by the Miami Heat on his 27th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-10 forward was seen as a long-term project for thermal tissue to mold into NBA stars.

Well, three years after his NBA career, the signing promises Jovic to become a great player.

He averaged 5.5 points with 41% efficiency during his rookie season and headed for 11 points on his third 46% shooting.

Jovic’s next step is to establish himself as a starter or sixth man, and raise his score to about 15 points.
