The Los Angeles finally have an NLCS opponent.
On Saturday night, the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Chicago Cubs 3-1 in Game 5 of the winner-take-all NLDS to advance. The Brew Crew will now prepare to face the defending champions in a seven-game series.

The Brewers finished with the best record in baseball history with 97 wins and 65 losses. Milwaukee’s run differential this season was plus-172, also the best in MLB. They defeated the in all six times the two powerhouses met this season.
On Saturday, Milwaukee took the lead in the first inning on a solo home run by William Contreras, but the Cubs quickly responded in the top of the second. Seiya Suzuki hit his own hit on the second pitch, tying the score at 1-1.
The Brewers responded in the bottom of the fourth inning with a solo shot by Andrew Vaughn to take a 2-1 lead, and in the seventh with a long ball to make it 3-1. Bryce Turan definitely highlighted the win by traveling 416 feet on his first pitch.
Game 1 of the NLCS begins on Monday, October 13th at 5:08pm PT. The Brewers are the No. 1 seed in the National League, so the first two games will be played at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Game 2 will be played on Tuesday, October 14th, also at 5:08pm PT.
The series heads to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 (and Game 5 if necessary). Game 3 will be played on Thursday, October 16th, and Game 4 will be played on Friday, October 17th. Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th.
If the series calls for a Game 6 or 7, both will be played back in Milwaukee. Game 6 is scheduled for Monday, October 20th, and Game 7 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 21st.
