Earlier this week, Thomas Frank was confirmed as Tottenham’s next manager, replacing the recently packed Ange Postecoglou. The former Brentford head coach will not start a new era in his career. There is no doubt that he is facing a major battle at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Frank was Tottenham’s favorite. They are pleased when he arrived, as they replaced the post-coglu from the beginning. Supporters also appear to be happy with the decision, but there is still a sense of uncertainty after Australia’s departure.
Colliemore is excited about Thomas Frank’s appointment at Tottenham
In his exclusive catch-offside column, Stan Colliemore considered Tottenham’s decision to appoint Frank as his new manager.
“I really appreciate the appointment of Thomas Frank as Tottenham’s new manager. I’ve spoken to him in the past. He’s a very intelligent coach. He’s an engineer and for this reason he should fit very well in North London. He needs to understand tactical flexibility.
“I believe it was the right time for him to leave Brentford. He was already staying now, so there must have been some doubts about whether he would step up to a bigger team, but he’s doing it now.
“I don’t know about this supposed rebellion in Tottenham after Ange’s dismissal. The decision was placed due to his poor performance in the Premier League, but it’s for them that they came in 17th.
“People like James Madison talk a lot, but he doesn’t get enough of it during the season. He was a player who appears to have a good relationship with Ange, so it’s interesting to see how Frank sees him.
“It’s important to remember that if Tottenham is planning to compete in the Champions League via the Premier League, he could need another 10 wins next season compared to his final season. And I think Frank has his bow strings to improve the club’s level when compared to Ange, who was mostly tactically inflexible.”
