The Miami Heat are swirling now, losing eight consecutive games.
A few games ago, the Miami Heat had lost a close game and had blown the lead away. The hope was that sooner or later they could turn one into a victory.
The wait continues. Miami has had an unprecedented winning streak and is now losing eight times in a row. The team’s record for the season is 29-35.
The latest loss was the New York Knicks’ 116-95 defeat. This included a third quarter punk at 41-15.
Terry Rozier recently identified the third quarter of the game as an area where the heat is particularly struggling.
The Miami Heat Locker Room is not a happy place for now. As the team was sliding down the rankings, they now ranked 10th in the Eastern Conference under the Chicago Bulls.
Heatguard Jaime Jaquez spoke with a reporter in the locker room after being defeated by the Knicks.
He admitted that there was a level of frustration among the players and that they didn’t want to continue losing a game like this.
Jacket explained:
“Basketball is a part of life.
As for how players follow up, he simply said: “Go back to practice, go back to filming and find a way to overcome this one more time.”
Jaime Jaquez admits that improvements have to start on his own, mentioning the turnovers he’s committed, explaining that Heat Players are too focused on trying to put the Knicks to the top.
He explained:
“There is a big emphasis on what they are doing and trying to stuff paint, and that is what we are trying to overcome as a team.
“Everyone wants to win, but they can’t.
The heat struggled with Bam Adebayo scoring just 12 points without Andrew Wiggins. Duncan Robinson led with 22.
Players have admitted that there is a sense of “shame” in their current lost run, which could reach double digits.
Next, they need to “fight” against the competitive Detroit Pistons team before taking on the playoff bound Houston Rockets.
