Carlos Pleets welcomes Ian Garry to the spotlight of this weekend’s main event.
The plate was pushed into the headliner at UFC Kansas City this weekend after the fall of the fight against Jeff Neil at UFC 314. However, it’s not Neil who will face off against the fighting nerd star. Instead, Irish candidate Ian Garry will rise.
“The Future” has been one of the more intriguing newcomers in recent years, but despite rising beyond Welterweight’s rank, Garry has never featured on the top of UFC cards. And the prize believes they know why it is.
“I was at work for a year,” Prates told MMA Hoje. “Two major events and four knockout bonuses… This kid has been in the UFC for four years and hasn’t won one bonus in his life. Many decisions, boring ass fights.
Whether he’s like him or not, there are some truths in the Star’s comments. Four promotional appearances, “The Nightmare” has four wins and four knockouts, with Garry making the decision in six of his nine fights under the UFC banner. Furthermore, “Future” has not finished his opponent in nearly two years. The last one was Daniel Rodriguez of the UFC on ABC 4.
Since then, Garry has documented decisions for Neil Manny, Jeff Neil and Michael “Venom” pages.
Carlos’ prize says Garry will leave with a “full pocket”
With UFC Kansas City being Garry’s first headlining with promotion, the Irishman will probably get a significant bump in wages. But according to the prize, that’s all he’ll leave.
“You make money there,” Pleats said of Garry. “After he woke up, he said: “Thank you, Carlos Plez, you made good money for me…” You go out in defeat, but in a full pocket. ”
Plates is nothing more than an impressive UFC run so far. Finished all of your opponents within the first two rounds. However, “The Nightmare” has never faced a well-balanced opponent like Garry, making the clash in “The City of Fountains” a must-see match.
