The Los Angeles defeated the Miami Marlins (7-6) on Monday evening thanks to Tommy Edman’s two-run walk-off single in the 10 innings. Edman didn’t get off to a start on his first off season, but he got bigger to help the improve 19-10.
Unfortunately, the had to add another All-Star pitcher to their injured list. After his last two starts ended early due to injuries, the right-hander was officially added to the IL.
Additionally, the veteran outfielder left the team and signed elsewhere. After clearing the exemption, the veteran was taken to the this spring before returning to the familiar ball club.
Finally, there are some pitching help in progress as All-Star Tony Gonzolin is set to return to the rotation this week. It’s been about 20 months since the right-hander last pitched in the majors as he lined up to face the same team in the same stadium where he last threw the pitch in MLB.
