The Los Angeles lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 9-1 after a distinctively inadequate performance from Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The ace was just two-thirds of the innings as LA fell 56-36 a year.
Prior to their final defeat at the series opener, LA made a big roster move. A surprising right-hander was called out to record his first MLB innings since 2021.
The roster movement didn’t stop there as utility star Quique Hernandez was on the injured list. 28-year-old outfielder James Outman was called in a corresponding move and in addition to his improved production in the Triple-A, he had a new accessory that was shaking Monday night.
Outman takes notes and makes notes from Max Muncie’s start this season and Hernandez started in 2024. The glasses have significantly improved their offensive output, just as Outman hopes to get the same kind of results.
