Neither team scored until the seventh inning, trading one run each, but after singles by Tommy Edman and Max Muncy and a walk by Quique Hernandez loaded the bases, Andy Pages simply hit a dribbler back to the pitcher, who sent it home by mistake (not first), giving the the win.

In addition, an update on the health of right-hander Tyler Glasnow was released after manager Dave Roberts announced that he will be out of Game 4 due to injury-related reasons. Glasnow pitched six scoreless innings, adding eight strikeouts and allowing just two hits, ultimately leading to the ‘ victory.
In pitching-related injury news, southpaw Tanner Scott left the team after Game 3 of the National League, and manager Roberts later revealed the reason. Scott underwent abscess surgery in hopes of recovering quickly and being able to return to work when conditions permit.
