The Ben Stokes-led England National Cricket Team rubbed salt into the wounds of the Indian National Cricket Team in a thrilling 22-run victory in the third Test at the iconic Lord’s cricket field. England defeated India on a dramatic fifth day to lead 2-1 in the ongoing five-match Test series.
India lost the Lord’s Test from a victory position, and fans condemned the unnecessary attack and drama of overwhelming defeat.

They won three Test series in the UK in 1971, 1986 and 2007. The young Indian cricket team led by Shubmangill had a golden chance to crush the confidence of Lord and Ben Stokes and his team, but the hosts made a stunning comeback to crush the tour side.

Chasing 193 runs to win the third Test, the Indian team got off to a truly unforgettable start on the evening of the fourth day. By the end of the fourth day they were struggling with 58 at 4. KLRahul stood firm on an unbeaten 33, but the team lost Yashasvi Jaiswal (0), Karun Nair (14), Shubman Gill (6) and Akash Deep (1) early.
Bridon Carth of England made things worse for India by filming two important wickets in later sessions. Early on the fourth day, India bowled England in 192 in two innings. Washington Sunder was a star with four wickets, but Joe Root scored the top score for England with 40 runs.
Jofra Archer shines brightly in his test comeback at Lord’s
Mohammed Siraj and Jasplit Bumra also took two wickets each. Previously, India matched 387 runs in the back of the century in England’s first innings total, with over 70 contributions from Rabindra Jadeha and Rishabh Pants. For the UK, Chris Walking skinned three wickets at Roads.
For Jofra Archer, it was a memorable comeback as he plagued the Indian players with his fierce bouncers and was plagued by the fierce keywickets to help England beat India in the third Test. Apart from Jofra, Ben Stokes and Carse also had a major impact on the ball, each taking wickets in the final innings.
