According to a new report, Nottingham Forest and Evangelos Marinakis are currently paying attention to the move to sign the £20 million “giant.”

Morgan Gibbs White in the Forest’s Amazing Season

No one would have expected Forest not only to be within the range of opportunities for European spots next season, but also to like to finish in the top four with the remaining nine games to play in the campaign.

It is an incredible campaign for everyone involved in City Grounds, finishing in the top four with recent victory over Manchester City and Ipswich Town.

Forest is one of the Premier League teams that are focusing on this midfielder.

Gibbs White told BBC Radio5 Live: “It’s been an incredible year. From this point last year, I think forest fans are the best to see where we came from.

“It was one thing to go back to the Premier League. During my two years in the Premier League, it was obviously not good to try to relegate. That wasn’t good. It was fun, but now I’ve been cheering on the fans.

“The funny thing is, I believed that in the preseason we could do something this season. Have you thought up to this level? It probably wasn’t, but I felt that we could achieve good things this season.

“In the preseason we were under the manager, he fully implemented his ideas and his belief in his man’s management and his players, so I think he really helped us a lot. So did you think we were in this position?

“Have I stripped your hand off?

So, as Forest approaches the location of next season’s elite competition, they plan for a summer transfer period. According to Tuttosport, broadcast by sports witnesses, Nottingham Forest is serious about signing Lorenzo Lucca, standing 6 feet 7 from the Italian side Udinese.

The report says AC Milan sees the forward as a summer target, but is facing competition with the Reds just like Napoli. Ten goals in 28 Serie A games this season have put him on the radar of several clubs around Europe. Milan was about to sign him in January, but the deal didn’t work.

They are interested in the 24-year-old signature, known as the “Titan of Moncalieri,” but it is thought to be difficult to sign him in the summer. This will leave the door open for the forest. The forest could be in the market for a new striker to help Chris Wood and replace him in the long run. A fee of approximately 25 million euros (approximately £20 million) has been reported to be sufficient to complete the transfer.

This was not the first time Forest has turned to Serie A to complete the transfer as Forest signed defender Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina last summer.

The latest report states that Forest can repeat his success in Serie A after landing Milenkovic with Lucca’s move.
