Six-time Miami Open champions and fourth seed Novak Djokovic moved to the fourth round of the tournament with a record win on Sunday.
Jjokovic’s 6-1, 7-6 (1) victory over lucky loser Camilo Ugo Carabelli was his victory in a match at the 411th ATP Masters 1000 level, beating a tie against the biggest ever Rafael Nadal.
Djokovic, who is also sought for Miami’s seventh open title, will face Lorenzomsetti in the 16th round.
Other men’s action Sunday, Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, who lost in last year’s final, was the 6-7 (3), 6-4, 7-5 winner with Russia’s Karen Khachanov.
Next, Dimitrov, seeded at No. 14, faces American Brandon Nakashima, who defeated 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3 on the Belgian upset heel of No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz in the previous round.
American Sebastian Korda confused Greece’s ninth species, Stefanos Zitzpas 7-6 (4), 6-3, setting up a fourth clash with Gael Monfils, who defeated Jaum Munar 7-5, 5-7, 7-6 (1).
Also advanced was No. 5 Seed Casper Ruud, the 6-4, 7-6 (4) winner at Alejandro Tabilo.
