Nuno Espirito Santo was plundered by Nottingham Forest.
After 21 months in charge on the city ground, Nuno was released from duties due to “recent circumstances.”
Tensions have been building up in the forest between Nuno and owner Evangelos Marinakis this summer. The former head coach revealed that their relationship had worsened over the summer.
Nuno also spoke openly about his frustration in the transfer window, believing that it would take too long for Forest to bring in a new player.
Forest has been to 13 signatures in the summer transfer window after the late additions of Dylan Bakuwa, Oleksandru Zinchenko and Nicolo Savona.
Nuno has been responsible for 62 Premier League matches for Forest, winning 26 of these matches (D13, L23), helping the tricky tree this season qualify for European football.
In a club statement, Forest said: “The Nottingham Forest Football Club has confirmed that Nuno Espirito Santo has been released from his duties as head coach today, following the recent situation.

“The club would like to thank him for his contributions in his role in his highly successful days on the city ground, particularly in the 2024/25 season.
“As someone who played a pivotal role in our success last season, he always holds a special place in our journey.”
With the Premier League season still on the opening stage, several other managers are already feeling the heat.
