In the main event of Oktagon 69, Max Holzer faced Dennis Ilbay in a fierce grenade match. The fighter pair have been trading hot garbage stories over the past six months, and the scores have finally been resolved. Holzer came to the top when Ilbey and Holzer met each other in the heart of West Fallenhal, Dortmund. So there came a controversy and a brawl.
Max Holzer Hamp Incident
It was relatively back and forth when the fight stepped in. Ilbay had been getting better for most of the exchanges, but when Holzer went to the ground it was one-way traffic. Stiffler poured an onslaught on Ilbay, finishing the fight in the fourth round with Leah’s naked chalk. Ilbay tapped, then Holzer stood up and kissed her head, humping Ilbay.
When asked about the incident in a postwar interview, Max Holzer said that Ilbey’s corner called him an uncool name. At a postwar press conference, Holzer apologised for his actions towards Octagon staff and Ilbay. Ilbay also issued an apology but declined to offer a handshake from Holzer.
Fan reaction
Dennis Ilbay also issued a statement on his social media about the brawl and controversy in response to the video being viral.
The incident was filled with wide range of comments from fans. Many fans even called the move a sportsmanlike and even called Max Holzer to be banned. Many fans also enjoyed the entire argument. I call it interesting.
Before the fight, Ilbey’s team often used the phrase “green behind the ears” when describing Holzer. They called him childish. Afterwards, Holzer decides to go out on the shoulders of his brother, who was wearing an inflatable T-Rex costume and who had fake green ears, referring to previous comments.
Post-war contract with Taha
At a pre-match press conference on Friday, Khalid Taha, who won the second round of KO, said he wanted to fight Holzer Next, who met the decisive “yes” from Holzer. When asked at a postwar press conference, the fighter pair agreed. The potential summer main event is set between two top German prospects.
