Newcastle is still in the middle of Alexander Isaac Saga, and the prolific striker continues to push his move to Liverpool. But once things stand, he is set to stay northeast, and officials at St. James Park are not satisfied with their ratings.
The situation at ISAK has overshadowed Newcastle in recent weeks. This is during the period when we saw the full deal between Aaron Ramsdale, Malick Chiau and Jacob Ramsey. This was also speculation surrounding several other players, including Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimarè, who are linked to Liverpool himself.
Both players are very important to Newcastle, and even more so if Isaac is not present, whether he stays or goes. And the club bosses are making it very clear now.
Newcastle will not sell Anthony Gordon or Bruno Guimarès
According to a football insider, Pete O’Rourke has revealed that Newcastle has no plans to sell Gordon or Guimarah, among others, regardless of how Isaac’s situation unfolds.
“I don’t think that will affect other transfers. In that social media post – it appears that he is totally committed to Newcastle, and I don’t think Newcastle is even thinking about letting go of Anthony Gordon. He seems happy in Newcastle too.
It was suggested that Newcastle would need to sell ISAK after spending more than £130 million on Chiau, Ramsey and Anthony Elanga. However, club officials make sense given that this is not the case, and that there is little money spent on the previous three transfer windows.
It remains to be seen how Newcastle’s summer transfer period will end, but if Isak leaves, he will be the only star player to do so.
