Arsenal marked the first major outgoing move at the Window Club in the summer of 2025, officially confirming that left-back Nunotavarez will be departing permanently for Side Lazio.
The 25-year-old Portuguese defender, who spent the 2024-25 season on loan in Rome, signed a three-year contract with Lazio and kept him at the Studio Olimpico until June 2028.
Tavares joined Arsenal from Benfica in July 2021, earning the reported £8 million fee.
Despite showing early promises with offensive runs and energy on the left flank, he struggled to secure a normal starting position under Mikel Arteta.

Following his first season in North London, Tavares embarked on a series of Lawn Spells, earning more first-team experiences.
He spent his 2022-23 campaign at Marseille, and was impressed with six goals in 39 appearances.
Subsequent loans to Nottingham Forest from 2023-24 were hampered by injuries and limited to 12 appearances.
However, his loan move to Lazio in 2024-25 proved fruitful, making 30 appearances and providing nine assists.
Tavares’ transfer fees are reported to range between £6 million and £7 million.
Arsenal has a sell-on clause in its contract and will guarantee that if Lazio decides to sell the player, he will benefit from future transfer profits.
