Liverpool has officially completed the signature of Milos Kerquez from Bournemouth, as announced on the club’s website.
Now sealed and signed, the move marks the third major addition to the Reds’ summer transfer window as manager Arne Slot continues to rebuild his team ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The 21-year-old Kerkez has been on Liverpool’s radar for several months after an impressive Premier League season against Bournemouth.
Hungary International quickly established himself as one of the league’s most promising young fullbacks, combining offensive talent with defensive solidity.
Milos Kerquez expresses excitement over Liverpool’s move
When he joined the club, the defender said:
“I’m really happy.
“It’s a real honor for me. I can play for one of the biggest clubs in the world (one of the biggest clubs in the UK. I’m really, really happy and excited.”
“After this, I’m back home and enjoying a few days in my hometown. And I can’t really wait to go back and start training with my training kit and start preparing for the season.”
His arrival is a statement of important intentions from Liverpool, who are considering rejuvenating the backline.
Kerkez is expected to offer immediate competition for the left-back role, especially given the uncertainty of Andy Robertson’s fitness situation in recent seasons.
His ability to press high, overlap at pace and contribute to both boxes will naturally fit the playing style of the slot.
Arne Slot shows ambition in the transfer market
The youth will be Liverpool’s third summer signature, following the previous arrivals of both Jeremy Fripon and Florian Wiltz.
Liverpool fans are keen to see the action of the new signature during this summer’s preseason.
It’s an exciting addition to the already strong Reds team, which won last season’s Premier League title.
The Reds may shift their focus to signing new strikers as Darwin Nunes is linked to moving from Anfield.
They are interested in the moves of Newcastle United’s Alexander Isaac, but signing him may not be as easy as it looks.
