The Oklahoma City Thunders scored their highest Western Conference record 68-14 this season. This was a more complete game of 16 games than the team.

OKC is the number one species in the West, but they still have a lot of doubt. Many analysts want to see the Thunder prove themselves in the postseason before paying respect. On Monday, the Thunder lost Game 1 of the conference semi-finals at Nugget’s home. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander told the media after Game 2 that OKC was “hopeless” for the victory. Their level of effort in Game 2 was clear. Thunder scored 87 points on Halftime, the new NBA postseason record.

Jamal Murray won his first basket of Game 2 between the Nuggets and Thunder on Wednesday night. On his next possession, Lu Dort hit a 3-pointer and raised Thunder to 3-2. They never followed again in Game 2 and dominated the first half against the Nuggets. By the end of the first quarter, OKC had risen 47-21. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander started the game 5-5, while Isaiah Hartenstein started 6-6. It helped OKC start the game exactly how they wanted.

By halftime, the lightning had risen to 87-56. According to sources, it’s a new NBA postseason record for most points in the first half. When lightning is lying around, they are a difficult team to beat. They will always be defensively sturdy, but when attacks can explode like in Game 2, they reach a new level. MVP frontrunner Sha Gilgeous-Alexander led Thunder with 34 points and eight assists on Wednesday night.

After OKC’s victory, SGA spoke to the media. He said the Thunder was “hopeless” due to his victory in Game 2. Director Mark Deanoo was “touched” by the way The Thunder began Game 2. However, he quickly realized that Denver didn’t play the best. This series will move to Denver for games 3 and 4. Can Thunder steal games on the road?
