Liverpool is looking for new players to refresh their team this summer.
With players like Trent Alexander Arnold, Darwin Nunes and Diogo Jota likely to leave Anfield this summer, Arne Slot will be active in the market and add more quality to their teams.
Additional revenue from the Premier League title victory will help Dutch managers explore new options in the market.
There are some concerns about offense and defense at Anfield, but midfield positions were the most reliable positions that players have played consistently.
Nevertheless, Premier League winners are about to sign a new midfielder this summer, with one of the players they’re targeting is Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton.
Former scout insider Mick Brown has information about Liverpool, who targeted the movement of the Crystal Palace man.
“Adam Wharton is a very talented player.” He told the soccer insider.
“He’s a great passerby on the ball, and he keeps it moving and plays a big role in the middle.
“And he is young and already international in England, so he checks out a lot of boxes.
“In Liverpool, he didn’t have to sit as deep as he was in the palace or break up playing.
“Personally, when the game is against them, I’m worried that he’s not always the best, he can step in and the game can sometimes pass him.
“But their scouts will know that, and they will know if they think it’s a problem, because it’s a very rare Liverpool is in that situation.
“So his main role is to get on the ball and help them own it, he’s very good at it.
“Criticism of his game at the palace is far less of a problem in Liverpool, as certain players are suited to certain clubs and certain ways of playing.
“From what I saw and heard, he will be one of the top targets of the summer.
“That’s not easy because the palace wants to maintain the best players and build what he’s done this season, as it could cost him a lot of money to move.”
Adam Wharton to Liverpool?
Wharton has played mature beyond his years. He is made up of pressure, he reads the game carefully and carves his possessions.
He would be the ideal player for the kind of soccer slots at Anfield. Since Liverpool controls ownership and plays most of the games in the opposition box, it is extremely beneficial to sign players like Wharton.
Wharton will be an intelligent, long-term signature, but the palace will demand a high fee from the British midfielder.
Football critic Paul Mason praised Wharton for calling him an “exceptional” talent.
The Reds are looking to invest in young players who can have a long-term impact with the club. That’s one of the reasons why Bournemouth’s Dean Huyssen’s movement is being targeted.
