Chelsea is reportedly convinced that they will reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt on the potential relocation of Hugo Ekichike.
According to Simon Phillips, talks are on track this week, and there’s a sense that fees can be agreed after further negotiations.
Ekitike, as we reported last week, is Chelsea’s top transfer target. Bruce wants to sign the Frenchman.
Our sources revealed that Enzo Maresca is keen on the tactical flexibility that Ekitique can offer, allowing the 22-year-old to play centrally and broadly.
Progress from Hugo Ekitike to Chelsea
The latest update on Phillips is that there is optimism about the deal as the talk between Chelsea and Eintrakt is on track.
Still, Christian Falk spoke Catch off side Liverpool are in the race to sign Ekitique, so it will be interesting to see if the red can still move to a stronger position.
Chelsea fans hope that Ekitike can achieve this signature as it looks like a possible signature.
It is still unclear what fees the club will be able to agree on, but recent Fork reports suggest that players’ costs are likely to be around £84 million.
Does Hugo Ekitike need to participate in Chelsea or Liverpool?
Ekitike clearly resolves some issues with this Chelsea team, but should we wait to see if Liverpool is coming for him?
Arne Slot’s side has just won the Premier League title and is likely to compete for the biggest trophy in the coming years.
The Chelsea project is an exciting project, but it’s controversial if the long-term strategy around young players is still fruitful.
