Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike has linked his move to leave the club at the end of the season, with Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea keen on him.
A report from the French publication RMC Sports shows negotiations are underway to sign the 22-year-old attacker, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea approaching German clubs and players.
The striker is likely to cost around 80 million euros this summer, and it will be interesting to see if the three English clubs are willing to pay.
Liverpool and Arsenal Keene
Ekitike has 22 goals and 12 assists in his name this season, allowing Liverpool to use someone with his skill set. Darwin Nunes has been struggling to score goals consistently, and Diogo Jota is prone to injury. Liverpool will need quality strikers to lead the line for them next season, and the French are ideal.
Similarly, Arsenal needs an upgrade from Gabriel Jesus. They were screaming for reliable finishers, and the 22-year-old attacker was able to take them to a whole new level. Apart from his ability to score goals, he is exceptional when it comes to taking on and beat defenders in one situation. He adds unpredictability to the Arsenal attack.
Chelsea strengthens efforts to sign Hugo Ekitique
Finally, Chelsea are also keeping an eye on Ekitike. RMC Sport’s report claims that Chelsea is making him very high for the finals and is stepping up their efforts to get the deal done. They have the resources to pay the asking price, and it remains to be seen whether they can take him as an upgrade for Nicola Jackson.
The 22-year-old was drawn to the idea of playing in the Premier League, and all three clubs could be an exciting destination for him.
