The Orlando Magic has made a big swing this offseason, aiming to compete for the NBA championship for the first time since 2011.
Orlando’s magic did an incredible job of rebuilding the franchise in the 2020s. After moving past stubborns like Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vosevic, the Magic Front Office set out to work.
The success of the successive drafts at Franz Wagner and Paolo Bancello gave magic a solid star basis.
And this offseason, they decided to go all in. This summer, the magic traded for Desmond Bain to address their desperate need for a solid three-pointer shooter.
It took a long time, but Orlando’s magic is ready to drive the NBA championship.
Orlando’s magic has provided longtime head coach Jammer Mosley with a stellar roster, allowing him to bring together a strong team.
Here’s what the Magic lineup looks like:
| Starting lineup | Second unit |
| Jalen Suggs | Anthony Black |
| Desmond Bain | Ty Jones |
| Franz Wagner | Jonathan Isaac |
| Paolo Banchelo | Moe Wagner |
| Wendell Carter Jr. | Try it with Goga |
For magic, they simply replaced the Caldwell Pope of Kentavia with Desmond Bain, offering much needed upgrades in the 2-guard spot.
The magic also includes other young stars that you can turn to next season, including rookies Jace Richardson, Noah Penda and third-year NBA star Tristan da Silva.
For Orlando’s magic, their promotion to competitiveness would not have come at a better time for them.
With injuries to Tyreese Halliburton and Jason Tatum, it is unlikely that both the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers will compete in the NBA Championship next season.
The Eastern summit is now significantly thinner, with only the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks remaining as top players, so the magic perfectly suppressed the ascension to Upper Echelon.
Along with the Knicks, Cavaliers, Magic and the Atlanta Hawks, it becomes a cream for the Eastern Conference crop. The problem now is that Orlando’s magic can leave the east and reach the NBA Finals.
