Owen Farrell will return to the Saracens this summer on a five-year contract, sources told ESPN.
Farrell, 33, left the Saracens at the end of the 2023-24 season and signed a two-year deal with Racing 92.
Sources said ESPN Farrell has signed a five-year contract with the Saracen in the role of player coaching. The Saracens had to pay Race 92 compensation to complete the transaction.
This move means that if Farrell decides to make himself available again, he will be eligible to play again for England. Farrell is the highest record point scorer ever by an English man, but after the 2023 World Cup, he decided to leave his international obligations to prioritize the well-being of him and his family.
The move to the Premiership comes after a difficult year in France. Racing 92 performed poorly in the top 14, and Farrell was also injured during part of the season and suffered a gro caliber injury. However, with Alex Rozowski injured, the Saracens strengthened their resources in the flyhalf and within the center, and Farrell returned.
Farrell’s time as a Saracen was a huge success. He debuted for them at the age of 17 and helped lead them to six premier titles and three European Cups.
