According to timesLucas Paqueta is keen to leave West Ham in January.
This will be another big blow for the club, which is fighting through a difficult start to the Premier League. The Hammers have lost seven of the nine games they have played so far, conceding 20 goals, with only Wolves having a worse record.
Paqueta’s contract runs until 2027. There was strong interest from Manchester City in 2023, with an agreement reportedly agreed between the clubs for around £85m, but City subsequently pulled out after being charged in connection with gambling offences. The charges were later dropped, but the City showed no renewed interest.
Aston Villa had made a good offer for the 28-year-old this summer, but West Ham decided not to allow him to move, with just days left to sign his replacement. A rental offer from Flamengo was also rejected.
