Manchester United joined the service of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah. Sky Germany.
The 35-cap German International will become free agent as his contract expires at the end of the season. He reportedly agreed to terms with Barcelona, but the Catalan Giants have an issue that they can avoid in order to register TAH in the 2025/26 season.
Bayern Munich has long been considered interested in TAH, and this development has also raised eyebrows in Manchester United. At this point, nothing has been signed and the race is wide open.
United’s interest will depend heavily on whether the 29-year-old could have added Champions League football to the list of things that aimed to join the ranks. The only way they could get there was to win the Europa League, where they beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals and put one foot in the final.
Unless United disrupt things in a rematch at Old Trafford, they will likely face a Premier League rival who beat Bodeau/Grimt 3-1 at home in the finals.
