Patrick Beverly believes there are similarities between Michael Malone’s shooting and Luka Donsic’s trade.
The NBA world was shocked when Michael Malone was fired by the Denver Nuggets. That was an unexpected decision as the Nuggets are set to be fourth and make the playoffs.
Chris Brussard suggested that Malone’s issues with former GM Calvin Booth caused double firing. But there’s nothing more truly known about it.
Several reports claimed that Nikola Djokic could have been the cause of Malone’s shooting. But Brian Windhorst defeated that theory by providing some context.
Not much is known about Malone’s shooting. However, Patrick Beverly sees some similarities to Malone’s firing compared to Luka Donsic’s trade.

Patrick Beverly spoke about Michael Malone being fired by the Denver Nuggets. He pointed out that Nuggets treat him rudely by spreading some negative stories about him.
He compared it to the aftermath of the Luka Donsic trade. There, the Mavericks planted negative stories about the superstars to justify their decision.
“I don’t like how they portray Mike Malone. It’s like you’re always traded, and there’s the negative connotation that comes with it.”
“We watched with Luka: ‘He’s overweight, he’s this.’ Mike Malone, that’s his attitude towards the players. I’m a Mike Malone fan. It’s huge.
“In his defense, he’s going to get a job with a snap of his finger. But it’s a rotating door. That’s awful.”
These situations can be very frustrating when muddy is involved. Luka Doncic himself recently insisted that it was rude for Mavericks to do that.

Whether the Nuggets want to accept it or not, there’s no denying that Michael Malone is one of the best coaches in the NBA.
Just two years ago, Michael Malone led the Denver Nuggets to the NBA Championship. And even last year, the Nuggets had been a few times away from reaching the final of the conference once more.
Of course, Nikola Jokic is the best ever for his prime. However, Malone’s coaching played a major role in the success of the championship.
Malone was able to quickly find a head coaching position as other teams like the Kings and the Grizzlies were set to look for new coaches in the summer.
