One player caused the most trouble to Patrick Beverly, a 12-year NBA veteran, with his incredible offense.

Over the years, the NBA has changed a number of rules, with some benefiting the stars at the attack edge of the floor.

For example, the abolition of hand-checking rules allowed the stars to gain incredible freedom in attacks. But even so, some defenders were able to create their own names in this era.

Among them is Patrick Beverly, a triple-fold NBA all-defensive guard who has spent 12 seasons in the league. Pat Bev has faced off hundreds of players, but he recently revealed which offensive superstar gave him a nightmare.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently have two generations of superstars, LeBron James and Lukadon Sic.

James is a threat on both ends of the floor, but Donsic’s biggest skill is his scoring ability in this world. Speaking of which, the 26-year-old star’s scoring ability highlight reel went viral on X.

This video featured Doncic’s sensational offensive highlights in his first NBA playoff series in 2020 and LA Clippers vs. 2020. At the time, Pat Bev was also a member of the Clippers and recently received a massive tolerance for Donsic’s scoring ability.

“The toughest person I’ve ever had to protect. Sheesh,” Beverly tweeted in response.

The Clippers left with a 4-2 series victory with the Dallas Mavericks, but Donsic averaged a spectacular 31.0 points, 9.8 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.

Donsic has been getting better since the 2020 postseason, but his age is catching up to Beverly.

After all, he is currently 36 years old and has been out of the league since the 2023-24 NBA season. Despite not getting younger, Beverly begged the NBA GMS to help him make a comeback.

There’s no doubt that Beverly was an incredible defender at the height of his career. It seems unlikely he will ever get a chance to play in the NBA again.

It’s also clear from Beverly’s focus more on his podcast since he left the league. Whether it’s the Knicks in New York, Beverly has always had something to say about DeAndre Ayton, who signs with the Lakers.
