Paul Felder manager Brian Butler wants to keep the record straight when it comes to clients.

In a recent interview with Submitted radioUFC welterweight Colby Covington was asked about Felder’s comments about him on his podcast Trust me in youFelder co-hosted with Michael Bispin, who says Covington’s “persona is in decline,” and Covington doesn’t really want to talk about the trash, but does so to “keep it relevant.”

Covington went out to Felder and told the story of his visit to a military base in 2017.

“He was talking shit about me,” Covington said. Submitted radio. “He was saying some of it. “Oh, he did this, and did other shit, “I want you to ask him, then you meet him in person and ask him about when you were at Langley Eustis’ joint base. And he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s breeding, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom, so he’s in the bathroom,

“So he drank a bottle of Jack Daniels on himself. He started talking shit with his manager, Brian Butler. I said, ‘Paul, I had to stop talking shit to him. You’re not going to beat your manager,’ he was black and lost it.

“You are supposed to pay tribute to the army. You are there to raise the morale of the army. Here you are trying to fight your manager. I had to step in and make sure he didn’t beat his manager, Brian Butler with a sucker punch. And he goes to the hotel room.

Butler says he was a bit surprised as he noticed Covington’s comments from Felder and many fighters on the Soccer Punch Entertainment roster, and announced Felder’s comments about the livestream saying that Covington had “respectful” in the past.

“A lot of people think Colby is an asshole. It’s just for the character he plays, but every time I meet Colby in person, he’s a completely different guy,” Butler told MMA Fighting. “He has absolutely respect. He is absolutely authentic. He absolutely takes his time for his fans and things like that.

“This story about Paul will definitely say it takes things quite a bit far away. Is Paul really upset by that? No. But at the same time, no one believes that Paul has been arrested and handcuffed to the toilet.

Regarding Covington’s story of Felder drinking too much that night in Base, Butler says there are certainly some exact parts of the story, and other parts that are definitely not true. He laid out the beginning of the situation.

“So what Colby is doing is for him to take a part of the truth and then he’s hanging it out,” Butler said. “So I say to you that there is a little truth here, so I will run through you through everything and Paul will say the same thing.

“We were on a military tour (on a co-base of Langley Eustis). We were doing it with Mieschatate, Colby and Paul. I think Stitch (Duran) was there. But it was a great tour, and it was just a long day of hanging things up with the army. Starting work with her laptop, we were all sitting in the lobby, and we all had drinks for hours and admitting that we were all a little too much, including myself, but that was just the right time.

“I don’t know what happened, but if you know Paul, he is a self-deprecating man. He is one of those angry people, but he is not really angry, but if he really knows Paul, he is the only one. He can take it. Or (lightweight).

“Then he headed to the elevator and then we all started laughing. We all started laughing, jokingly with Paul. Then we hear, ‘I can still hear you.’ That made us all laugh even more. It’s a classic pole.

From there, the rest of the group strolled around, but Butler received a call from Felder. Still, concerns are set.

“Someone went there and there was water leaking under the hallway door, so I was like, ‘Oh, great,'” Butler said. “Then he wasn’t answering the door, so maybe in my head, maybe he just surges out of his room.

“We’re knocking on the door, but he doesn’t answer. And I’m trying to scare him to open the door as water is coming out. I’m like, ‘Paul, answer the door, man.’ I’m saying, ‘If you don’t answer the door, the military police are coming,’ he’s getting up and trying to open the door, so I just unlock the lock.

“So I open the door and see water coming out of the bathroom, and see the shadow of Paul in the window by his bed and silhouette. (You can hear it), “You have to come in, you’re the manager.” I say, “f*ck, OK, I’ll come in.”

As Butler carefully entered the room, he saw water leaking into the floor. Butler eventually steps into the room and realizes that Covington is the only other person to enter with him. This is something Butler is grateful for.

“I said, ‘Paul, man, what the hell did happen to your room?” He said, ‘I smacked the lid and the toilet broke.'” Butler said. “Who knows what happened? “Listen, let’s get out of here, clean this, take it to another room and let it get out of here.” And he wasn’t looking at me. He said he had a lot of whiskey. I knew that probably wasn’t.

“But the cool thing, and this is what I actually admired Colby. They were actually scared to go to his room so everyone stayed outside, but so are them… We all play it. And nothing happened, and Paul “important,” he complained… And we cleaned (up the room) and they moved to another room, and that was it. ”

When that night ended, Butler approached the former interim UFC welterweight champion and expressed his appreciation for the assist. Everything seemed to be going well.

According to Butler, Felder had to face the group the next morning, and everyone, including the base soldiers and employees to this day, had a good time at Felder’s expense.

“I said to Colby, ‘Hey guy, I thank you for doing it,'” Butler said. He was “Of course, man” and he was that guy and that was the end. When I woke up the next morning, everyone in the hotel lobby was ready to give him shit as soon as he came down from the elevator. It was a big laugh and it was just fun.

“There was never a military police officer and he was never tied to a toilet. He refused to start a fight with me. He joked about him, and he got mad at me.

“I appreciate Colby for the little gestures he made by being the only person walking with me, but I was never really in danger, you didn’t know what I mean? And Paul has been joking about the story ever since.
