The magical postseason run continues for the Indiana Pacers, but the next awaits them is the toughest test ever.
After beating the top seeded Cleveland Cavaliers leading up to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Indiana Pacers are set to face the New York Knicks on the crisis of the NBA Finals.
NBA fans are excited to see Pacer face off against the Knicks to renew their old rivalry from the 1990s.
Tyreese Halliburton, which sparked a previous WWE moment, renewed Jalen Brunson’s rivalry with the Knicks last year.
There is a lot of opinion being offered on who will be on top between the two teams for East Supremacy.
Stephen A. Smith approached the upcoming series, sparking a fire, claiming that ESPN analysts and famous Knicks fans were a superstar and that Halliburton was not.
New York edged the 2024-25 regular season series (2-1), but it should be noted that Indiana defeated them in a tough seven-game second round game last year.
And history repeats itself as he believes that for Paul George, the Pacers will advance and win towards the Knicks by running in smoke.
“Indy will be out of the east,” the Philadelphia 76ers star told Podcast P.
“I think they’re at a slightly faster pace for the Knicks. This is a team that plays starters for over 40 minutes.”
“The way Indy plays, they’re going to wear them.”
It’s quite a love from George for Indiana, despite the fact that he has notably cried out that he failed to get the recognition he deserves to lead them over the past decade.
It will be interesting to see how the Knicks match up with Pacer’s fast-paced attack. And all eyes certainly lie in the distribution of head coach Tom Thibodeau and his infamous portion.
Thibodeau created a rumble during the previous regular season. Mikal Bridge reduced the on-court exposure as a starter, allowing more play on the Knicks bench.
Even between Game 6 clinchers with the Boston Celtics, Thibodeau pulled Flak out of the fans.
The way Thibodeau manages Knicks’ rotation is one of the compelling segments of this East Final series, with Game 1 scheduled to kick off at Madison Square Garden on May 21st.
