The Phoenix Suns won Jalen Green in a blockbuster trade with the Houston Rockets, giving him a new challenge.
After a few weeks of waiting, Kevin Durant was finally traded for the Houston Rockets.
The Suns received their fifth second pick in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and Durant, the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
With Kevin Durant gone, the Suns also look forward to moving other assets. The most obvious next move is to figure out how to move Bradley Beal.
The Big 3 of Devin Booker, Durant and Beer looked interesting on paper. However, to form that trio, the Suns gave up too many assets.
As a result, the team had an overwhelming bench. With that in mind, Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George believes the sun needs to move on from the beer in the hopes of having a deeper bench.
“I saw something about Bradley Beale going on, and I think Bradley Beale will probably move,” George said on Podcast P.
“I thought there was a time when there was no more than these three.
“I’m not upset with the deal. They got a pick of No. 10. They drafted it last year with young Fella Ryan Dunn,” he added.
He has non-trade clauses in the contract, so the way to say goodbye to Beal is easier than ever. One way to make that a reality is to follow Bill Simmons’ advice to make Beale’s life miserable to the team.
Jalen Green was the biggest asset Suns received in the Durant trade. However, Isaiah Thomas has already started a talk about re-registering Green before the 23-year-old plays a single game in Phoenix.
If the Suns could trade beer and build a future around the greens, George has some important advice to the former Rocket star.
“It’s more beneficial to move elsewhere at times. He was in Houston for four or five years. I know what Houston is. I think it can bring a lot to a young man.
“Now you’re going to Phoenix and rebrand yourself, to a fresh start. It’s a new opportunity for a fresh identity for yourself,” George continued.
George urged Green to bounce off being traded by doing what Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Donsic did.
“You can trade anytime. I saw it with Luka. You can’t take anything personal. At the end of the day it’s a business. Find a new home and throw yourself into the mix.
“I think this summer will be a big summer for him.
