The Boston Celtics will have an interesting matchup in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
After finishing the regular season as the second seed, the team was waiting for a first round matchup to become the winner of the Orlando Magic vs. Atlanta Hawks Play-In game.
With 36 points led by Wendell Carter Jr. and Paolo Banchero, The Magic won a 120-95 victory and meets Reignive Champions in the first round of the playoffs.
That’s great news, but the magic has reached the postseason for the second year in a row, but their first round match is against a very stacked Boston Celtic steam team.
Joe Mazzulla’s men finished the regular season as the second best offense and fifth rating defense in the league.
Despite several players putting out the lineup at various times of the season, the team managed to get on well to finish as the second seed and decided to win the championship again.
Heading into the first round, Jaylen Brown’s health is a concern as reports emerged that the 2024 Final MVP must use injections to recover from a knee injury.
Former Boston Celtics player Paul Pierce proposed tactics that could be used to help Brown recover, who admitted the team was difficult to manage injuries.
Celtics champion Paul Pierce said the team should sit brown for the first round against magic.
He reveals that the team is stacked and can get the job done against magic without their stars.
Speaking about “tickets and the truth,” Pierce said:
“They didn’t play without a lot of different people throughout the season.”
Pierce, one of the Celtic best players, revealed that he must get an injection at a stage in his career, but that didn’t stop him from playing.
“He hadn’t had surgery on his knee, so the news I’m in his knee is that he had an injection. I did it in the middle of the season and I continued doing it.
After a great postseason last year, Brown carried this campaign from where he went out in another great year with the Celtics.
He averaged 22 ppg, 5.8 rpg and a career-leading 4.5 APG in 63 games this year.
Brown previously revealed that he had seen a clip of his piercing before the game, but it appears to be visible as his offensive rating was the best he’d ever had in his career.
He and Jason Tatum, who have often been overlooked in the league, have sensational careers as a duo.
Both solidify their legacy as the greatest greats of all time in the history of the franchise, and another ring not only adds to it, but also moves them forward with the conversations of the biggest duo in the league.
It’s always tough to play with injuries in the playoffs, but Brown is a special player and if the Celtics manage their sweep and give them enough time to rest for the next round, they can wreak havoc and help their teams a lot.
