Orlando’s magical legend Penny Hardaway says he “believes” in Nico Harrison after trading Luka Donsic for the Los Angeles Lakers.
The news wasn’t realistic when Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison traded Luka Donsic for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Since the move took place, ownership of Harrison and the Mavericks has only made things worse. At least that’s what the Dallas fanbase believes.
After making the expected trading to enter Win-NOW mode, MAVS was unable to advance to the 2025 NBA playoffs. Nevertheless, one NBA legend believes GM Harrison did the right thing by trading Don Sic.
One of the major criticisms Harrison faced due to his decision to trade Don Sic was to acquire an older injury-prone player with Anthony Davis.
However, Orlando Magic legend Penny Hardaway actually supports Harrison’s decision.
“Nico was my man, but you talked about the big ball, Nico was standing in what he believed, it takes a lot of time.
“Luka is young and could be the face of the league. It’s a tough deal. If that group is healthy and healthy with Kylie, they say they could be in the Western Conference Finals, so I feel bad for Nico.
“I believe in Nico now, he made a move of force, he promises you and it’s okay,” he added.
Hardaway made this big claim when it came to the OGS podcast recently. It certainly is a controversial statement and could lead to a MAVS fanbase responsive to former NBA stars.
After experiencing dramatic midseason trade, Don Sic is reportedly currently focused on building his legacy as a member of the LA Lakers.
Obviously, many view Donsic as the next face in the NBA. It especially takes into account that he plays for an attractive franchise like the Lakers. Hardaway and Udonis Haslem have dropped final verdicts on Doncic’s next one.
Hard away on how Luka Doncic is respected as a European star in the NBA: “They can put the ball in the basket, so we respect Luka. Luka got the stolen goods and got the Lakers jersey.”
Haslem added: “I’m not saying it’s right or wrong, but what I say is that I need my best player to be my leader. That’s all I’m saying.”
