Monastery Clancy confuses Liverpool goalkeeper Alison Becker for another girlPeter Crouch: Fan Favorites on and off pitch

Former England striker Peter Crouch told yet another valuable story. This time, his wife, monastery Clancy, and Liverpool goalkeeper Alison Becker, are involved.

The former Anfield favourite shared the entertaining story of his hit relationship podcast, The Therapy Crouch, to the joy of listeners.

As well as his charisma, Crouch, known for his towering 6-foot-7-inch frame, enjoyed a colorful and successful football career.

He went through the ranks of Tottenham Hotspur, but in Southampton for the 2004-05 season he really made his mark and won the move to Liverpool.

During his time at Anfield, he achieved the status of a cult hero, especially with the knack of scoring epic goals in the Champions League.

Since retiring in 2019, Crouch has seamlessly moved to panditry and podcasting. His humor and insight have made him a fan favorite again.

In a recent episode of The Therapy Crouch, Peter shared an interesting incident that occurred while he and the monastery were watching the Liverpool match.

“Okay, well my whining is that you’re jumping to conclusions,” Crouch began. “We were watching the game last night and they said, ‘Yes, Alison has been on fire recently.’ ”

“Then AB left, “Who is she? Allison, who is she, and why is she on fire?”

As Peter explained the situation, the couple couldn’t contain their laughter, nor could they have an audience. The monastery questioned the goalkeeper’s name, adding to his joy.

“Who is she? Allison, what’s that name?”

Peter responded with his signature deadpan delivery:

“‘It’s Liverpool’s goalkeeper and he’s making some great saves.”

The story then created a round online, with soccer fans and podcast listeners celebrating the lighthearted banter that has become a hallmark of Crouch and Clancy’s podcasts.

Their dynamic chemistry and honest storytelling continue to make Therapeutic Rouch one of the most entertaining ears.

Crouch’s retirement media journey reflects the charm and relevance he has shown throughout his performance career.

From the Peter Crouch podcast with the BBC to his television appearances and now Therapy Crouch, his ability to blend football insights with authentic humor is unparalleled.

While Peter Crouch is always remembered for his goals and his robot dance celebrations, his post-football legacy may be defined by moments like this. Whether on the pitch or behind the microphone, Crouch has proven many times that he is one of the most important personalities in football.
