The PhR Performance team has a larger team than Man Tt expected.
Peter Hickman’s team will not only be themselves, but they will also run the other two riders.
Former TT podium finisher Pierre Ibes Bian and newcomer Barry Burrell are under the banner phrase.
Hickman, the winner of the 14th TT race, will compete in SuperSport TT in a trooper victory by PhR Performance Bike.
Bian (who placed second in the 2023 Supertwin race with Hickman) will also race at the SuperSport TT for a PHR performance.
Hickman and Bian also compete in Superwin TT. Hickman runs Swan Racing’s PHR Performance Yamaha, while Bian has PHR Performance Aprilia.
Bian added a 1000cc race to his schedule for his fourth TT this year. He runs a PHR performance BMW.
Peter Hickman adds two new riders to PHR for Man’s Island
“I’m really excited about this year’s TT and have a stronger PHR performance team on the grid,” Hickman said.
“I have a lot of time for Pierre. He’s in a good place ahead of this year’s TT and has seen a huge improvement in victory over the winter. I look forward to what we can do.
“We did a lot of work at Yamaha over the winter months because we were looking for more horsepower than usual.
“My size and height meant it was always tough and we still lacked a bit of Yamaha’s linear speed.
“It’s constantly being improved and focused on both the engine and exhaust development.”
Burrell will make his debut with TT after the 89 British Superbike Championships begin.
“I’ve known Barry since around 2002 and raced, and leading him to the team for his TT debut is great,” Hickman said.
“I will help him as much as I can and help him as much as I can. It’s mostly a philosophy of PHR performance.
“We want to help people where we can. We have two great riders on our team, along with Pierre and Barry.”
