The PFL 2 main event has undergone yet another change.
The later replacement Josh Lettinghouse was not approved to compete in the battle with Leandro Higo, so he was replaced by an alternative Martial Alves, originally planned as a replacement for the card. The news was announced by PFL officials on Thursday, prior to the event on Friday.
Pulling from the card leads to the third new main event of the PFL 2 card after former UFC fighter Taila Santos was originally headlined for the event in a fight with Julianna Velasquez, but Santos was kicked out of the card.
That led to the Higo vs. shingle hitting the main event slot, but now Letting House has also been kicked out of the show.
Currently, Higo faces Alves as part of his PFL 2 card, kicking off Bantamweight and Women’s Flyweight Tournaments.
As far as the rest of the measurements go, Justin Wetzel also came in at 138.4 pounds for a fight against Kasum Kasmov, but PFL officials told MMA he was fighting on Friday that the game was still on schedule.
The remaining fighters competing on the cards gained weight without putting in weight, including UFC and Bellatory veteran Liz Kalmuche.
The complete measurement results for PFL 2 are as follows: The qualifying cards were kicked off at 9pm and the main card was turned off at 11pm on Friday.
