Sadjean remains undefeated.
On Thursday night, during the main event of PFL 5 in Nashville, Tennessee, Jean faced former Bellator welterweight champion Jason Jackson, regaining his split decision victory.
It was a Nip Tuck event in the main event, with Jean dropping Jackson in the first round and controlling a big chunk of action. Jackson showed his veteran familiarity, continuing his fight, mixing takedowns and attempts at submission with impressive ones, but ultimately failed to shake up the judges, earning a 29-28 scorecard, with Jean earning a 29-28 scorecard and 30-27 scorecard. The victory advances Jean to the tournament finals, which will be held later this year.
In the co-main event, Jesus Pinedo delivered another sparkling knockout, finishing out Gabriel Braga in the featherweight semi-finals. This was Pinedo and Braga’s third meeting, and the two have recently been competing in the final of the 2023 PFL Featherweight Championship. Pinedo won that fight with a knockout in the third round, but he rushed things this time, stopping Braga in just 76 seconds.
In the evening, Khabulaev won a unanimous decision to Tae Kyun Kim and punched the ticket to the 2025 featherweight final. Currently, Pinedo and Khabulaev will face off in the tournament final as matchups for former PFL champions.
Also on the main card, Logan Story gave a vintage performance against Masayuki Kikuiri, earning his position in the welterweight tournament finals.
Storley, a former Bellator Interim Champion, has the opportunity to add another belt to his collection.
